Background:

CD16 is FcγRIII., which is a glycoprotein with a molecular weight of 50,000~70,000Da, and is a member of the Ig superfamily.
The CD16 molecule is widely expressed in NK cells, neutrophil polymorphonuclear leukocytes, mononuclear cells, and macrophages.
CD16 is a low-affinity receptor for IgG that binds to the Fcε-associated receptor I (εRI of Fc) γ CD3ζ and is jointly involved in signal transduction.
CD16 antibody can co-participate in the direct killing process of human NK cells by binding to CD16 on the surface of NK cells to mediate NK cells to kill cells targeted by IgG1 or IgG3 antibodies.
CD16 antibody promotes the proliferation of NK cells and the secretion of killer cytokines, activates NK cell antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity (ADCC), and enhances the ability of NK cells to recognize and clear tumor cells.
